Themed Weddings
Create the wedding that you want
These days ‘vintage’ or ‘hipster-style’ weddings are all the rage and I can help you shape a wonderfully whimsical Ceremony your guests will never forget.
Never be shy about creating the ‘vibe’ YOU want for your wedding! Guests love participating!
Elements to consider:
A Vintage Gown and Suit and vintage themed clothes for the Guests: from corsets to flowing 1920’s style flapper dresses or 1930’s Tea Gowns OR ballerina-length 1950’s full-circle petticoated dresses.
Vintage crockery such as old teapots, cups and saucers for an Afternoon Tea Reception!
Fresh flower circlets for yourself and your Bridesmaids
Vintage transport – from horse-drawn carriage to vintage cars.
Rustic settings such as farm barns, the Australian Pioneer Village (LINK: http://theapv.org.au/village/), vintage gardens, stables and vineyards.
Old-fashioned lanterns, wooden signage, rough bunches of wildflowers on the tables in jars, bowers festooned with fresh foliage and twinkle lights – and lace, lace, lace!
Maybe you fancy being married by ‘Doris Day’ for a ‘60’s feel complete with a sashay down the aisle to “Que Sera Sera”? Or prefer a ‘50’s Marilyn Monroe feel with wiggle dresses or full-circle petticoats? Or do you want your man and his gang dressed up as The Rat Pack so you can pour yourself into a long, cool satin beaded number with a slashed neckline and backwards pearls (think Audrey Hepburn, “Breakfast At Tiffany’s”!)?
From the demure grace of the 1920’s to the wild abandon of the groovy 70’s (think Pucci, darling, and Disco!), I have style advice for every era and close contacts in the Sydney Vintage community including:
- Hair and Make-up Stylists
- Vintage Performers and Bands (fancy Elvis bringing you down the aisle??)
- Vintage dance instructors
- Vintage DJs
- Florists
- Personalised Gifts and Stationery
